CANCELLED MCU BLADE MOVIE DETAILS REVEALED! 👀

What's up Geekly Goods fam! 👀 Former Blade director Bassam Tariq is revealing new information on the scrapped MCU film. He worked on the project for about a year and a half, and pre-production was genuinely well underway before everything fell apart.

Speaking with TheWrap while promoting his new film Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, Tariq confirmed his version of Blade was set at least partially in the 1920s, a detail fans had speculated about for years but had never gotten direct confirmation on. He revealed he'd moved his family to Atlanta as production ramped up, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter was already deep into building out the film's period wardrobe. In a genuinely wild twist, Carter later took some of those unused Blade costumes with her when she went on to design Ryan Coogler's Sinners. Tariq also opened up about navigating the Marvel Studios system itself, saying, "The system was cool, and we were a part of it, but you knew that there was somebody else that's running this thing. You're there on their time. It's a different thing."
