The movie theater sucks. In the end you're just getting a big screen and surround sound. Going to the movies is a terrible date idea unless it's just your first activity. It's gotten pretty expensive so taking the whole family can get pricey, especially for imax restaurant theaters. You could just invest in an extra large TV and surround sound system. Home entertainment has caught up to the theaters. Streaming services have been letting you rent movies still in theaters because of covid.

The one place you got me beat, some theaters now have moving seats that react to the movie. No thanks.

Got a huge TV. It's still not the same. Films are better as a communal experience. Always will be.

@VaultDweller-m8mthe experience is completely different. Sitting at home on a couch offers distractions, less immersion, and if your Internet goes down you’re done.
