Welcome to Golden Quran Voice. In this video, we present the beautiful recitation of Durood-e-Ibrahim (درود ابراہیم) — also known as Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah (الصلاة الإبراهيمية). This is the durood that we recite in every prayer (Salah) after the Tashahhud, and it is one of the most beloved and authentic forms of sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The Prophet ﷺ himself taught this durood to his companions when they asked him how to send blessings upon him. It is narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

Arabic Text (Text of Durood-e-Ibrahim):

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Transliteration:

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammad,
Kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala aali Ibrahim,
Innaka Hamidun Majid.
Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammad,
Kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala aali Ibrahim,
Innaka Hamidun Majid.

English Translation:

O Allah, send Your grace, honour and mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your grace, honour and mercy upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

درود ابراہیم (بالعربية):

الدرود الإبراهيمي أو الصلاة الإبراهيمية هي الصيغة التي علمها النبي ﷺ لأصحابه عندما سألوه: كيف نصلي عليك؟ وهي الصيغة التي نقولها في كل صلاة بعد التشهد. وردت في صحيح البخاري وصحيح مسلم. معناها: طلب الصلاة والبركة من الله على النبي محمد ﷺ وعلى آله، كما صلى الله وبارك على إبراهيم وآله.

English (Arabic Section Explanation):

Durood-e-Ibrahim, or Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah, is the formula the Prophet ﷺ taught his companions when they asked him how to send blessings upon him. It is the formula we recite in every prayer after the Tashahhud. It is narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Its meaning is: asking Allah to send His grace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his family, just as He sent grace and blessings upon Ibrahim and his family.
