@madisonpanknin1593. I worked all hours of the day and night when working home health. I went into homes of drug addicts in the worst neighborhoods in downtown Baton Rouge at 3 am for IV therapy. Places my husband (my armed husband) wouldn’t go. I ended up having to quit because of the lack of safety as well as my husband’s piece of mind and the threat of being fired if I carried and got caught. It just wasn’t worth the risk. I ALWAYS carried but never got caught thankfully. My safety was more important than their rules.

The problem with this is that in reality it’s next to impossible for the average New Yorker to get a concealed carry permit in New York City. You must prove need; like carrying large sums of money or jewelry. A nurse would not qualify for a CCW permit. Most New Yorkers that do own handguns have Target Permits that only allow for handgun transport to shooting ranges and the guns must be in a locked box unloaded.
Again the entertainment industry bends reality to fit their storyline.
