Pretty sure you can adjust metal detectors to only set off at anything metal bigger than a pen knife. Plus in the event of it being set off by a metal head plate or something I'm sure they have a code to put in within a certain amount of time to flag it as a false positive. That way it can be stopped before the code goes out but also set off if the bank workers are preoccupied with being a hostage
