I'm a combat infantry vet taking a quick break from putting together a Sunday night dinner for my wife and her friends. In real life, Mr "Dark Wolf" has a far greater chance of dying from lung cancer, emphysema, or of dying by his own hand in a fit of paranoid depression than he does from "snipers from Tehran" or truckloads of "militants" showing up at his farm. PTSD is a bitch, but it's treatable....

If he was smart, he would’ve been using silencers with all of his weapons, thus not giving away his position at least when it comes to sound, although for the muzzle flash that’s different. I’m sure the muzzle flash could be reduced with a silencer, but I’m not military so I wouldn’t know one would think.

An M249 isn't a heavy machine gun (unless that was an M240 he had inside the house) unless you have to ruck it up a mountain or across the desert.
Personally, I miss my M60 from when I was in Korea.
I remember when I was zeroing it at the range and the range master said "It's a fucking machine gun! Not a god damn sniper rifle!" When he checked my target

Three bullet holes were overlapping

@feafaeaefawawf1186 that is true, but there is like literally zero recoil impulse, if you are controlling it, you still see the kinetic energy travel into the shooter's armpit and shoulder however you don't see it in the scene. Obviously there is very little for the M249, but here there is just none.
