Ben Affleck's Secret On-Set Injury 🏏 #dazedandconfused #movies #shorts

Actors breaking character over a minor scratch happens all the time, but Ben Affleck’s dedication in Dazed and Confused was on another level of insane. During the chaotic parking lot scene, Affleck suffered a brutal, bone-shattering ankle injury right in the middle of a take, but he completely refused to yell cut.
Instead of calling for a medic and ruining the shot, he pushed through the blinding pain. Gripping his infamous wooden paddle, he stayed perfectly in his aggressive character, finishing the entire sequence before finally allowing himself to visibly limp off the set. That level of raw grit is what made O'Bannion such a terrifying and unforgettable bully.
