haadhaa Saamii — This is Sami. — ⁧هَذَا سَامِي⁩
Saamii taalib — Sami is a student. — ⁧سَامِي طَالِبْ⁩
Saamii yuhibbu l-qahwa — Sami loves coffee. — ⁧سَامِي يُحِبُّ الْقَهْوَةْ⁩
kulla yawm, yadh-habu ilaa l-maqhaa — Every day, he goes to the café. — ⁧كُلَّ يَوْمْ، يَذْهَبُ إِلَى الْمَقْهَى⁩
al-yawm, al-maqhaa mughlaq! — Today, the café is closed! — ⁧الْيَوْمْ، الْمَقْهَى مُغْلَقْ!⁩
Saamii haziin — Sami is sad. — ⁧سَامِي حَزِينْ⁩
thumma… Liinaa! — Then… Lina! — ⁧ثُمَّ... لِينَا!⁩
marhaban yaa Saamii! hal turiidu qahwa? — Hi Sami! Do you want coffee? — ⁧مَرْحَبًا يَا سَامِي! هَلْ تُرِيدُ قَهْوَةْ؟⁩
Saamii sa'iidun jiddan — Sami is very happy. — ⁧سَامِي سَعِيدٌ جِدًّا⁩
