What actually makes someone stand out in an interview?

A good resume can get you into the room, but it can't always get you the job. What happens once you're sitting across from someone is where things get interesting. Charlie had almost nothing to work with and somehow made the interviewer believe in his attitude. Sam had the experience, but couldn't really give a strong reason for why he wanted the job. Then Mike Ross walks in and completely changes the entire conversation. He doesn't just tell Harvey he's talented, he proves it right there in the room. That's the difference. When I'm hiring, I want to see what someone can actually bring to the table, how they think, how they handle pressure, and whether they can make me believe they're the person for the job. Sometimes the person who looks best on paper isn't the one you end up wanting on your team.
