That is a Terrible comparison, Megatron gets hate for existing and is constantly abused for no reason at all, and maybe occasionally for some weird behavior or something.
Jerry is hated and abused because hes a parasite that almost constantly chooses the worst, most pathetic, most toxic options available.
He occasionally has some growth and he occasionally has some pieces of a spine, and in those times he tends to Not be abused or hated as much.
Edit, he's actually pretty well written if you look at it that way, yes hes a comedic relief punching bag character, but 9/10 times he deserves it or he isnt getting abused.
