The Director Got This Horror Movie From His Own Nightmare… 💀

What if your worst nightmare became a horror movie? 😨🎬

The idea behind *It Follows* (2014) came from director David Robert Mitchell’s recurring nightmare about being stalked by a predator that never stopped slowly walking toward him.

But the nightmare doesn’t end there. The film deliberately leaves its time period unclear, mixing vintage cars, old CRT televisions, and strangely futuristic devices to create a world that feels trapped between reality and a dream.

Starring Maika Monroe, this supernatural horror film turns something ordinary—a person walking toward you—into a terrifying source of suspense. Every distant figure becomes a possible threat, and you never know when the nightmare will catch up.

Sometimes, the scariest thing isn’t what’s chasing you. It’s knowing that it will never stop. 👁️
