Mandaadi is an intense Tamil action drama built around traditional sailboat racing, rivalry and revenge.
Soori leads the film as Kaali, with Suhas playing a powerful opposing character and Mahima Nambiar as the female lead.
The film's boat-racing sequences, performances, cinematography and G. V. Prakash Kumar's music are major highlights.
However, the land-based portions and familiar storyline make the overall experience somewhat uneven.
