Salaar🎬: Part 1 - Ceasefire (2023)**

The dark, monumental action-drama is set against the dystopian, lawless city-state of Khansaar and follows the deep, ultimate bond between Deva (Prabhas), a man of immense physical power living in self-exile, and Varadha Raja Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the prince of Khansaar. Having sworn a childhood oath of loyalty to protect Varadha at all costs, Deva has spent years living a quiet, peaceful life with his strictly non-violent mother (Easwari Rao) in a remote mining town. However, his hidden, explosive nature is forcefully reawakened when he must protect Aadhya (Shruti Haasan), a high-profile target pursued by lethal forces looking to strike at her father.

The stakes hit an absolute boiling point when a massive political coup erupts inside Khansaar.

Cruel, power-hungry clan lords and Varadha's own treacherous step-siblings conspire to overthrow the reigning king, Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu), triggering a ruthless internal war for the throne. Desperate and completely outnumbered, Varadha calls upon his childhood protector to stand by him. Returning to the brutal kingdom, Deva becomes Varadha's ultimate weapon, single-handedly unleashing a wave of raw, bone-crushing violence against entire battalions of mercenary armies. Navigating a lethal web of complex tribal rivalries, deep-seated political betrayals, and absolute lawlessness, Deva must secure the throne for his friend-only for a mind-blowing, final bloodline secret to alter the dynamic of their legendary brotherhood forever.
