James Cameron Gave Back His Titanic Paycheck #shorts #titanic #jamescameron #movies #film

Titanic was approved at about $110 million and nearly doubled to about $200 million. When Fox pushed for cuts, James Cameron gave back his producing and directing fees (reportedly about $8 million) and his share of the profits, keeping only his screenplay fee. If the film sank, two years of his life would have paid him nothing. It became the first movie to pass a billion dollars, and the studios reportedly paid him anyway.
