Why mercy and the womb share one root in Arabic
1 views · 2026/10/27
In Arabic, raḥmah (mercy) and raḥim (womb) are built on the same three letters: rā, ḥā, mīm. The Prophet ﷺ said the womb is a branch of ar-Raḥmān, and that Allah made mercy one hundred parts, sending down just one.
