Netflix's Allen is SECRETLY a Modern E.T. Sequel #netflix #shorts #moviereview

Netflix is bringing us a brand-new sci-fi comedy called Allen, and this upcoming Netflix movie is already giving me major E.T. nostalgia! But there's something particularly interesting about this alien adventure. Allen is the first live-action feature film from Ludo Studio, the award-winning Australian production company behind the global phenomenon Bluey. And I'm definitely curious to see what they have planned!

In this video, we're taking a first look at Allen, Netflix's upcoming alien comedy about childhood friendship, extraterrestrial encounters, and what happens when someone from your past suddenly comes back into your life after 20 years.

The story follows Petey, who has never forgotten his childhood best friend Allen. There's just one small detail that makes this friendship a little different. Allen is an alien! After two decades apart, Allen unexpectedly returns to Earth, setting the stage for an adventure that could change everything.

What makes this Netflix movie particularly interesting is the involvement of Ludo Studio. If you're familiar with Bluey, you already know the studio has a reputation for creating stories that connect with audiences through humor, emotion, and memorable characters. Now, they're stepping into live-action filmmaking with a sci-fi comedy that looks like it could appeal to both nostalgic movie fans and a whole new generation of viewers.

And honestly, the premise has some serious E.T. vibes. The idea of an alien returning to reconnect with a childhood friend is a fun twist on the classic extraterrestrial friendship story. But Allen also appears to bring its own comedic identity, with an unexpected reunion and a much bigger mystery surrounding the alien's return.

Could Allen become one of Netflix's most surprising sci-fi movies of 2026? That's what I'm interested in finding out!
