Why movie theater popcorn costs more than the ticket #shorts #movies

Real: a bucket of popcorn is estimated to cost a theater under $1 to make. Studios take most of the ticket money in a film's first weeks, while theaters keep the snack money. That's why the snack costs more than the seat. (Industry estimates; MegaPlex is a made-up theater.)
