Pretty sure Vikings routinely killed children. We see Ragnar cover up an English child with a blanket so his men don't find and kill her during their raid.

Idk because yeah it's actually super inaccurate, vikings were super hygienic, being clean was a requirement. Women could divorce their husbands for such things. In fact there has been some debate though highly contested, that some women would go willingly with the raiders as they were extremely attracted to them do their looks hygiene and pleasant smell.

Ivar took all these beautiful lessons with his father and proceeded to piss on them. Killed his brother (which Ragnar would never do) killed his friends (which Ragnar went out of his way not to do) and then killed his child (something Ragnar said he thought of doing but was glad he didn't.) Ivar really did single-handedly ruin the show.

I never watched the show to know him as much as an adult, but he's very quick to anger, even killing one of his brothers by stabbing him during a fight. He has a God complex to the point of proclaiming he's an actual God and killed anyone who questioned him.

Uhhh excuse me Ragnar would absolutely kill Rollo. He actively tried to a couple episodes before. Also he did try to kill ivar when he was a baby. He legit left him in the forest but aslaug saved him. Wasn't really a thought, he actually did try to kill ivar. Ivar really never had any friends tbh. Far as I know he only had his brothers. He didn't have friends that were on the level Ragnar had in the early episodes of first season.

@Dr_Larken he eventually takes control, and becomes a tyrant. demanding people worship him, and silencing the ones who dont. I dont know what the commenter is refering to since ivar never became a father, but his wife cheated on him because he is impotent. and he then took the baby out in the forest. Just like ragnar did to him when he was a baby.

My mother told me recently that she regrets not accepting my disability when I was younger, or getting me help. She still doesn't fully accept it. My fatger still denies it. Maybe it's denial to cover guilt, or pride and prejudice. I don't know. It's ok though. I didn't need an apology or them to realise they erred any longer. I'd long since moved past that. I do wonder what my dad's feelings, thouggts abd motivations are/were, but at this stage it's mostly just curiosity and trying to understanding him to maybe bridge the space between us a little

@rosscobossco1229 He was only a little late at speech. I'd have to ask the wife; it has been too many years for me to remember. Just be there for her, aim to make her feel safe, protected, loved. She may not seem to feel it, but in time she will understand why you act the way you do and it will profit her. Everything will happen when it happens. Patience sucks to learn, but it will be worth it. There is no deadline on anything; celebrate all the victories, pull together as a family in the defeats. Always restrain anger and harsh words; they will only cause more issues. Pride always comes before the fall. My son has grown a lot through his participation in the Boy Scouts. He's currently working on his Eagle Scout rank at 16, in 11th grade.
