Fun Fact: the Philippines was under Spanish colonial rule for 333 years — longer than Mexico by about 33 years.

Over 3 centuries under the Spanish crown along with most of Latin America. 250 years of trade between Manila and Acapulco. We’re definitely primos. ❤

Mexico and the Philippine had a Galleon trade during the Spanish time, why both are Catholic colonies of Spain.

@chuchip9633early Filipinos are practically enslaved by spaniards. There's even a caste system.

It's actually not that hard. They're culturally similar but still genetically different, generally speaking.

Before the Philippines had its own Archdioceses, the country was put under Archdiocese of Mexico and Governor General in the Philippines mostly came from Spanish blood ruling in Mexico. Mexico and the Philippines are brothers but from different mom, one is from the west, the other is from the east.
