Actually, that was not the case. Both Louis and Marie very young teenagers when they married. Neither were taught exactly how intercourse works. I don’t think he was gay it had more to do with no one teaching them what to do. They just assumed these 14-15 year olds knew how to have sexual relations but they didn’t know how. It wasn’t until Marie’s brother came to the palace to help the king please a women. He taught both Marie and Louis how to have sexual relations between them.

Louis’s issue was that he had no idea what he was doing.
After years of marriage with no children, his brother in law visited and guided him.
Turned out that he had “slid the key in the lock, but never turned it and unlocked the door”.
Meaning he had never actually had a full intercourse with his wife and “finished”. He wasn’t physically incapable. He just didn’t know what he needed to do.
They went on to have several children after that.
