I am pretty sure Bryan was screwed quite some time before they perfected the cure, because even if they injected it in him, it would kill most of his body, and wouldn't survive from it due to the infection mostly being attached to him.

Sometimes the cure is not actually cure it was meant to kill him (if you think about any other movies that whenever a host gets infected the only way to prevent it is basically you have to kill it. It’s the only way.)

Having to watch RE having blinder after blunder after blunders for 30 years is truly frustrating and disappointing. This movie was done not for the OG Resident Evil fans but for the normie tourists RE "fans" who jumped into the hype bandwagon out of nowhere for the anniversary and the recent games (Requiem one of them)

Why label a movie Resident Evil if you are not going to follow the lore and the games story to the letter?

I saw those same tendril thingies not only in the dog that tried to kill me now again with these two mfers and those tendrils pulled them together and brought them back AGAIN. Now fast forward to a kid with those same tendril thingies asking me to pick her up. Maybe cause I watch a lot of nature documentaries/horror movies but it was giving cordyceps infection. Not something you wanna be infected with. If I wanna save her, I’d ask her to walk and if she can’t walk, tell her to stay hidden and close the door again and wait for me to come back with help. But I could not take her with me. More than that, I wouldn’t have gone in the RV to begin with. Under the vehicle would’ve been faster than that whole interaction and attack. 😅

I watched the movie because my friends are RE players and fans before, and I still remember watching my nephew play it on PS4, so far all is good, the gore is good captures the grotesque bodies well, and hearing about the decisions we make as players isn't inexcusable because we've been there before, we make choices that bites us in the ass later, overall a 8.5/10, good movie, I heard some just say it's trash from this or that reason, and another mob mentality to make you feel like you're fighting against them, I find some opinions genuine or straight up parroting behavior.

Also I was more focused on the guns and yeah I was expecting some intense stuff some flinches on the sudden ambience and dread. I doubt it would do anything at all by this point, he’s way too mutated, and even seems stronger than the one that was chasing him. I have a theory that the bite he got from the little girl and that bubble popping in his face combined to make a unique strain of the virus.

I think of the needle as an item you could use in the game during a boss fight to knock him down for a moment so you can get in some easy shots in that huge eye that would definitely be his weak spot. But there’s no saving him. I know it’s not technically canon but I like to think he’s Leon/Jill/Claire/Hunk’s problem now, just depends on who runs into him first.

Actually, one of the scientists said that all they had to do was stick the syringe in him and it would all be over—and that was when he was already the big monster thing. So, I think IN the movie, it would defy logic and stuff and still cure him. Like, all the people would detach from him—the parasite would effectively be eliminated. He’d be cured, fine. The scientist wouldn’t have said that, eagerly and frantically trying to get one of his coworkers to get ahold of the syringe and stab Bryan if the cure wouldn’t have worked at that point. The cure still WOULD have worked—that’s why it sucked so bad that the cure got dropped off the sky bridge.

Zac has multiple opportunities on how to move forward with this. He could do a prequel movie showing his own version mansion incident (albeit he should stick as close to the source material as possible) or in the sequel it would have Leon and Claire and they both encounter a heavily mutated Bryan who hunts them down as a stalker enemy. It would be very melancholy if after he is taken down, he regains some of his remaining humanity and pleads either of them to put an end to him. The ending of the movie could be Leon delivering Bryan’s message to his girlfriend to finally put his story to rest.

Even by the logic of RE viruses, you can't just restore someone from a grotesque pile of limbs and eyeballs back to a normal person. They were too excited to get the cure, they didn't think twice about the likelihood that the courier who miraculously showed up would be infected. He also made a point of hiding his infected hand from them before they could see that it was already mutated. In their defense, he was covered in blood already from the baby unit so he was looking a bit rough regardless.

One of the guys was questioning why he was being allowed into the room still, and he was getting pushy about it.

They were just too focused on getting the cure processed until it was too late, because the National Guard was on their way to help with containment.

He was just never meant to be like those flashy protagonists with unbreakable plot armours who survive every thing that comes in their way , zach said himself that he is not following the same formula of the games and previous RE movies in this movie, he made something " orginal " but maybe in future parts we will see a protagonist who will follow bryan's trails and finally find the cure , and somehow have a boss fight with bryan's monster.....it will be pure cinema

What made me mad is they had so many chances to cure him even when he had that scientist on the sky bridge he could have been cured but I knew he wouldn't be because that was the scariest one out of them all and he would just sit there in fear and stare I would have fastly out the pin in the machine got the cure and injected to him while he was still human because they had about 3 seconds before he grabbed the woman by the face while having the cure but being to afraid to inject it

It is exactly the game's formula that he is following; the protagonist's moral flaw is what didn't give him the armor that all the others have. When he accepts being a father, the virus has already spread throughout his organism. Note: all main characters are infected in the game's lore, but their determination is what keeps them standing. Bryen is the complete opposite of that; his ruin lies in his indifference toward his partner's question in the car.
