We’ve been friends since kindergarten. We barely planned anything for this trip. Most nights, we didn’t know where we were going to sleep until we got there. Sometimes we found a beautiful place in the mountains. Another night, we slept in a bus station with rats in the bathroom.

We still have two years of school, and then we’ll start separate lives. Maybe we won’t have two whole weeks to travel together anymore. But I think we’ll still find time. I hope so.”
