Robert McCall (Denzel Washington), a retired CIA black ops operative, now lives a quiet life in Massachusetts, working as a Lyft driver while secretly helping those in need. His peaceful existence is shattered when his close friend and former colleague, Susan Plummer (Melissa Leo), is murdered in Brussels while investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a CIA agent.
