Realistically, the plan was decent but Dave decided to kill a mob capo instead of rescuing him, and kill his son too.

The basic plan was good, the improvisation in the end was terrible. No wonder mob guys came to murder them both. Capo had other sons and the matter was known to the mob 😂 Dave had to kill all the mob to make this work
