When Rocky feels bad about not having a physical gift to give after saving both their worlds, Grace makes a simple request—he just wants to see Rocky’s starship.

Rocky reveals the Blip-A, a massive interstellar vessel constructed entirely out of super-dense Xenonite. It turns out to be the greatest gift Grace could have ever asked for.

🎬 Movie Title: Project Hail Mary

✍️ Author: Andy Weir

Rocky being genuinely troubled that he didn't have a gift to offer after literally saving humanity from extinction says everything about how kind and empathetic his species is (or maybe Rocky himself). How lucky do you think Grace was to have come across an alien like Rocky instead of a hostile one?

Or maybe we're the only hostile aliens in space. Rocky was thrilled to find ANYONE and Grace was afraid he'd end up with an alien bursting from his chest. Maybe WE'RE the problem?

Rocky was so proud of his ship. What an Amaze Amaze Amaze movie. 10/10.
Also, read the book❤❤❤

Hypothetical.....
Replace Rocky with a Xenomorph Queen.....not sure that movie would work.

I wish there was more footage in the finish film, showing Rocky’s pride in his ship

Unfortunately, Rocky probably can’t see Grace’s delighted facial expressions

@JLeslieCrawford-m8g almost at the end of this clip Rocky is pointing toward a control panel on the wall. It looks ancient man made. Like a dial with markings. HEY! maybe it’s a clock and the significance is, when they made first contact Grace designated them “clock brothers”. Does that make sense?

Yes he can. He can see through the xenonite suit Grace is wearing, same way he can see theough his xenonite ball. His echolcation is pretty acurate, since he can also hear a whisper from the other side of the room.
Grace's face isn't flat, so Rocky can definitely "see" his expression.

@Dddfd-h9h he's right tho. This scene wasn't in the book. Grace mentions that the access port to Rocky's ship is too small for him to climb through, and he expresses disappointement at the thought of not being able to visit Rocky's ship.

I was pleasantly surprised that they changed that for the movie 😊
