The reason this scene is significant is because dr house had been caught stealing Vicodin numerous times but got away with it due to his prestige, this woman got caught once with a reasonable excuse and no second chance

If you can get fired for stealing food going on the trash from the grocery store then of course you can get fired for stealing meds from the hospital.
If dr house was stealing Vic and didn’t get fired then that’s a real and good life lesson to remember. The big dogs get away with things they shouldn’t but if you know your place, and you’re not the big dog in the house then be mindful. You’re not going to be the revolutionary that suddenly balances the scales. Your ass will just get fired. Every time so be careful.
