A great production and story. Possibly historic, possibly not. No one today realy knows, do they? But a great production. And I just appreciate it for that and that allone. Noo different than Cleopatra. Just appreciate the production. Movie making has certainly changed. Actors have far more responcibilty than they use to. Do not know if thats good or bad. But still, just appreciate it for a story to. Thats how I see them all now. No matter whT movie it is.

This whole sequence was filmed on location, in the Sinai Wilderness. A massive production like this with thousands of extras, practical effects and huge sets could never be done today. Not only would it be too expensive and done with computers, but Hollywood doesn’t produce people like Demille anymore, capable of this sort of epic project. (And don’t even compare Demille to Christopher Nolan. Nolan is a midget in comparison).

It brings us closer to what Moses felt, and possibly thought during this time in his life. God met him at the end of his faith, called and commissioned him. All God’s works are marvelous in our eyes. He sees into decades, Centuries. Since he fore knew what everyone would do, He predestined and re arranged events in time to favor His outcome, and our redemption.

Awesome movie. Deep insights to Exodus & Dueteronomy. I've been to mt Sinai. Surely place. I had 2 unexplainable visions there on sane day. One to remind me of his existence & angel's voices. The other reminding me of my humility

Despite all of all this, God would not give harm to Moses. Even if he was king...he'd probably would have been the best in history. The way is reason& empathy for anyone including slaves...he was the ideal person God chose....All on account of Moses's free will of finding God's way😊

Mel Gibson is rising in this department reality meeting honesty of the Bible. The Passion of the Christ and now the Resurrection part one and two coming next year. The Ten Commandments was a great movie but the Passion of the Christ was totally epic.

@maxrevenge4181 - sorry to break it to you but Mount Hebron(Jabel al Lawes) is in the land of Midian not the Egyptian territory of the Sinai peninsular just as the bible stated in Galatians. The Saudi government now have a fence around it preventing vandals from defacing this archeological site. Type Jabel al Lawes (mount of Almonds) into the Google maps and see the real Mountain that Moses climbed to receive the two tablets of stone.
The mountain is charred black on the top.
Any twin peaked mountain is called a 'Sinai' in Hebrew it means a dip or saddle.
