Isis made a snake from the sun god's spit. The cure cost him his secret name.

Ra, the sun god, grew old, and his spit fell on the ground. Isis, great in magic, made a snake of it and left it on his road. When it bit him, she would heal him only if he told her his secret name, and in the end he did.

A myth, from a healing spell written on papyri at Deir el-Medina, the village of the royal tomb-builders, about 3,200 years ago. The spell was recited over anyone stung or bitten. It never writes the name.
