What is unreasonable to me is that they could have figured that out two seconds after it showed up if they just plugged in 0 for the denominator. Which did not need a flashback to the blackboard describing how you could figure it out GRAPHICALLY. No amount of genius allows you to magically graph that in your head. Yeah what you really needed to do was 1: substitute 0 for x to realize it's equivalent to 0/0 which is indeterminate, at which point you need to use L'hopitale's rule, then check again and still get 0/0 therefore the limit DNE. You can't just see the asymptotes unless your mind is a graphic calculator.

AND even when the graph has an asymptote you can still find the limit using graphs, derivatives, plugging in 0, common sense, etc. TECHNICALLY limits do not exist when there is an asymptote but youre still able to record end behavior
