McDonald's is supposed to be fast and cheap. They lost the entire premise, it's slow and overpriced. Last time I was there I spent $15 and waited 20 minutes. I'd say it was a fluke but it happened several times before

Mcd worker here. The higher ups want to save money so they put as few employees in a shift as they can. Usually i hand out 4 orders every minute and still it takes 15 minutes to give the customers their order. Or when i am in the kitchen, a cheeseburger takes 10 sec to make, but we cant do much when there is 4 of us in the kitchen while we get an order every 5 sec. Ofc there are lazy workers too, but still impossible to be fast

I absolutely agree with you on the pricing. McDonald’s Wendy’s and Burger King all are completely overpriced it’s ridiculous. Costs about 15 dollars for a large combo. But I will say at least where I’m from that the service is still pretty fast. I usually don’t wait more than a few minutes for my items unless it’s ridiculously busy. If they got their prices down a bit they would be much better but capitalism breeds greed unfortunately so it is what it is

McDonald’s is the biggest joke in the fast food industry thanks to ray crook and others down the line. I had to wait 35 minutes just for 2 10 pieces and large fries. I got the same thing from Wendy’s in 10 minutes fresh out of the fryer.

Personally I can't find a taste difference between now and the early 2000s as a kid, it tastes the same. The problem is how expensive it is now, it's not worth it, eating Mc Donald's has become a luxury, I can only afford to eat there every few months.

Sitting on a slant under the heat lamp made them even better. The dehydrated oinon juice pickle juice and grease would gather at the bottom and get coagulated under the lamp. The bites from that side of the burger were the best! You can still get the rehydrated onions but this cooked to order BS means it'll never be as good again

It's cheap 15 is cheap already and you can get even cheaper there. They should still precook though I agree faster and more importantly the burgers got better on a slant under the heat lamp. The bottom side all the juices ran to and got coagulated under the lamp. That side of the burger was extra special!

I can’t even comprehend how to the consumer in the 1940’s/50’s how they must’ve reacted to the fast food concept for the first time. Having your food come out to you that fast, and then taking it wherever you wanted to eat in a matter of seconds or even a few minutes.

For a society that was used to only having sit down restaurants, drive in’s and home cooking that must’ve been a wild experience
