POV: Getting your 10,000 steps/day as an Arabic Student

When I first came to Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University…

I didn’t have a plan.
I didn’t have the perfect Arabic.
I didn’t even know what book I would study next.

But I knew one thing:
my life in the West was too small.

I wasted most of my life as a non-Muslim chasing goals that didn’t matter.

Money, habits, haram...
All of it felt empty.

When I became Muslim, travelled to Saudi to learn, and entered this masjid, everything changed.

I saw students walking back and forth reviewing Arabic texts like their life depended on it.

Not for a grade.
Not for Instagram.
But because they knew Arabic is the doorway to everything.

So every night, I did the same thing.

I would come here with the book I was studying…
and just walk.

Back and forth.
Reading one line over and over until I understood it.

No shortcuts.
No “fluency hacks.”
Just repetition, humility, and dua.

That’s when I realized:

Arabic is the starting point of a big life.
A life built on knowledge, vision, legacy — not trends.

Arabic is how you:
• understand the Qur’an directly
• learn your religion from the source
• build a worldview no one can shake
• raise your children on something real
• become someone your family respects
• take your life out of the algorithm
• build Madrasax inside yourself first

Before business.
Before travel.
Before hijrah.
Before everything…
Arabic.

This masjid is where my real life began.
One line at a time.
One night at a time.

If you feel stuck chasing goals that don’t mean anything anymore…

If you feel like Allah created you for more than scrolling and trying to survive…

If you know you were meant to be a student of knowledge — not a spectator…

Then start the same way I started:
Arabic.

We built a path so you don’t have to leave your family for years:

Daily live speaking, real teachers, real texts —

the same journey… from wherever you are.

If you’re ready to stop living small…
and step into something real:
