Ancient Egypt Had a WORKERS' STRIKE?! 💀
29 مشاهدة · 2026/10/11
Ancient Egypt had a workers' strike… thousands of years before modern labor protests. 💀
Around 3,000 years ago, workers at Deir el-Medina stopped working after their regular food rations were delayed during the reign of Ramesses III.
Their protest was recorded in the famous Turin Strike Papyrus — one of the earliest recorded accounts of a labor strike.
Basically:
NO FOOD = NO WORK. 😭💀
