Because it was a low budget financed movie! You mainly take roles like that for the exposure, opportunities & hopes that the project becomes successful! Mfs act like they don't understand how projects & budgets work or what they agreed to be paid before accepting a role! You can have a $1,000,000 budget to make an entire movie, which doesn't leave you with shit to pay everybody crazy amounts of money! On top of that, you don't even know if the movie will be successful or if the money invested will ever be made back until after it's released! Just because a movie becomes successful doesn't mean the money was there to pay everybody more when it was being made, & it dont automatically entitle everybody to some huge payout beyond what they're contractually owed! That's not even accounting for the residuals some actors are entitled to & may continue receiving long after the movie's release! If that same movie had flopped & only made $100K, those actors still would've gotten what they agreed to be paid, while Cube & the company he worked with would've been left taking the financial hit
