Bad take, random people can attach to any well written character, the 3 villian movies you chose 2/3 were major box office fails for reasons far beyond “there was no Spiderman” and having Spiderman in them would of actually probably hurt tom hollands career

But venom, megamind, despicable Me, glass, watchmen, joker….All of these movies are are either bad guys or antiheros at best that were all box offices successes because they were well written and humanized the bad guy without making them just baseline a good guy and along these lines and if we got a well written bad guy movie it could do really well, i feel like a really easy one to do would be magneto since he has a backstory that abused people can relate too and isnt a bad guy because of what he is doing but rather how he dose it usually

I would agree with you if Clayface's numbers were looking better. Joker 1 may have been ok but it wasn't even the joker we know. The 2nd Joker was trash and did terribly. Venon 1 was ok but the other 2 weren't that good. Of course animated movies are going to do well when kids watch them. Glass was good so I'll give you that. Watchmen was decent but also they aren't villains.

@x@xEternal-verse watchmen fall under that anti hero part, and not every animated movie does well or holds up, but if you go watch Megamind right now as an adult, It’ll be just as good as you remember as a kid. joker 2 wasn’t well written it was a cash grab for sure, but the first one proved that even more out there villains can work, the problem is for every 1 good villain movie there is we have gotten 5 bad, and kinda like how the first iron man movie proved to the masses that not every superhero movie has to be cheesey and just for kids like they had been for the most part prior but something people could actually follow and enjoy it will just take one person to figure to the formula for bad guys

This movie is fleshing out the dcu. The problem with the dceu was they rushed to get to the team up movie. Batman didn't even have a solo movie that and the writing was all over the place. I'd rather take the slow approach. We know batman is in this world, there will probably be signs of him in this movie. I dont want to rush it, build the worlds out, flesh the characters out then we can have a team up movie that feels earned. Just like the first avengers movie, they laid the ground work in the previous movies and gave them a reason to all come together.

I feel like clay face can appeal to an audience other than superhero fans because of the older rating and horror factor and it has been advertised a decent bit I think it will do well solely because of the age rating and horror factor and also it’s not everyday DC do a 18plus horror project

💯 I’m sure theres a plan. I feel like that’s why they’re putting a bunch of heroes in Superman. They’re trying to show some faces before they have that team up movie. But also I don’t think they’ve even announced a justice league movie yet

But ig then there is not really a pure movie centered around the villan only cuz kraven the hunter is an anti hero if anything and same as morbuis they both are anti heros/vigilantes so ig the video should be about "movies that try to make villans seem like hero's are a bad idea"
