Is Beetlejuice scary? Not really: it is more silly than scary, rated PG, and one of the Halloween movies to watch with friends when someone in the group hates horror.

Beetlejuice (1988), directed by Tim Burton, runs 92 minutes. Two ghosts try to scare a new family out of their house, so they hire a reckless spirit who makes everything worse. The Hollywood Reporter's Kyle Counts called it "colorful, delightfully deranged and endlessly inventive." Roger Ebert, who had mixed feelings, wrote "there has never before been a movie afterworld quite like this."

In Fact I Believe BJ And Lyds Should Set Their Differences Aside, And Start Working As A Team Alongside Astrid (Jenna Ortega) To Save The World (Both Worlds Of The Living And The Dead). Also Beej Has Just Gotta Finally Succeed In His And Lydia's Wedding. You Remember What Wynona Ryder Said In That One BTS Interview Plus I Really Can't Wait To See If Astrid Will Return For This One. Lydia's Kid Is Far Too Good To Not Do Another Sequel With The Ghost With The Most

Lydia and Astrid teaming up is the part I would pay to see. If you want a double feature before a third one lands, the original is rated PG and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is PG-13, and both are easy picks for a group. Which of the two do you rewatch more?

Both is a valid answer. For a back-to-back night, start with the original (about 90 minutes), then Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, so the jokes from the first one land in the second.
