The Movie Skeleton That Flew Over the Audience

In 1959, some theaters showing House on Haunted Hill made a plastic skeleton fly over the audience. Director William Castle called the trick "Emergo." The movie cost under $200,000, made about $3 million in the US, and its closing credits list the skeleton as played by "Himself."
