Did you know Arabic has a special form just for two?

In English:
📘 one book → two books

In Arabic:
كتاب → كتابان

Arabic uses the dual form (المثنى) to show that we are talking about exactly two. In كتابان, the ending ـان marks the dual in the nominative case.

This is one of the features that makes Arabic grammar so systematic and fascinating.
