📽The Mentalist follows Patrick Jane, a former celebrity psychic who joins the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a consultant after an unimaginable tragedy. Years prior, a notorious serial killer known as Red John murdered Jane's wife and daughter in retaliation for a public mockery. Now, Jane uses his hyper-developed skills of observation, psychological manipulation, and deduction to help Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon and her team solve complex homicides. While cracked cases form the show's episodic core, Jane’s true, obsessive goal remains tracking down and extracting personal vengeance against Red John.
