Anti-intellectualists will try to make her look like a bad guy by virtue of being right. Being unable to admit you're wrong is a real character flaw, but being called a liar by your own family and then being chastised for proving that you're right would break me pretty quick. And shows like this perpetuate a terrible sentiment. That it's okay to be wrong as long as it's funny.

Sorry I'm with Claire on this. It would be one thing if he was saying that he didn't remember it happening that way or that "if I did I'm so sorry". But he continued to deny it, while laughing at her, getting the rest of the family to laugh at her with him, continually making jokes at her expense. Unacceptable. I remember when this episode first came out, people are online we're talking about what a control freak she is and my jaw was on the floor. This is basically gaslighting.

I support Claire. I understand her because I've been in the same situation as her, and its definitely enjoyable. They were trying to portray her as the bad person for proving herself right. And, Phil was so disappointing. He was so weird with Gloria, who was basically his mother in law, while he had a gorgeous wife. He was so disrespectful towards Claire and degraded her a lot.
