The story follows Robert McCall, a man with a mysterious past who lives quietly in Boston, working an ordinary job at a home-improvement store and spending his nights reading at a diner. His intervention draws the attention of the Russian mafia, which sends a ruthless enforcer to hunt him down. Using his lethal skills and careful planning, McCall strikes back, protects innocent people, and follows the trail to the organization’s leaders.
