Thanksgiving Started as a Fake Movie Trailer 🦃🔪 #Shorts

Before THANKSGIVING (2023) became a full-length slasher, it began as a fake trailer. Eli Roth created the trailer for GRINDHOUSE, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 double feature, introducing a holiday horror movie that didn’t actually exist.

The idea stayed with Roth. Sixteen years later, he turned that fake trailer into a real feature film, bringing the Thanksgiving-themed slasher to theaters at last. 🦃🔪

From a few minutes of fake movie promotion to a full-length horror movie, THANKSGIVING is one of the rare films that started as a trailer before the movie existed.
