Edit: I was going to recommend Made in Abyss. It will make you cry but not in a "Up" or the ending of Toy Story where Andy goes to college. I'm talking about sobbing for an hour straight & asking the universe "why" while also looking up how to make a time machine to stop yourself from watching it.
It's BRUTAL as hell. It's trauma inducing. So I don't recommend it to those who have a sensitive mind, heart & soul. You'll end up going in a spiral or worsening mental health. Anime horror is different from regular horror. You'll cry but you'll also wish to save the characters from their horrific fates. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
