Steven Grant keeps blacking out, only to wake up with his enemies already dead. He realizes he lost two days of memory when his goldfish gains an extra fin and a pet shop employee says he visited two days prior. At home, he finds a hidden compartment with cash, a key, and a phone; a woman named Layla calls him "Marc." His reflection moves independently, and a bird-headed monster haunts him. Encountering Harrow, Steven is judged by magical scales that swing wildly, revealing multiple souls inside him. Later, cornered by a monster in the museum, he surrenders control to his alter ego—and Moon Knight finally makes his debut.
