Did you know one major reason there is no AFRICAN DIASPORA ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST on anything like the scale we see in the Americas is the BRUTAL WAY many enslaved Africans were deliberately prevented from leaving descendants? This is where the EUNUCH TRADE becomes impossible to ignore. AFRICAN BOYS and YOUNG MEN were CASTRATED so they could serve in palaces, households and courts without ever fathering children of their own. That was not just physical violence. It was an ATTACK ON CONTINUITY. Take a boy from Africa, CUT AWAY HIS ABILITY TO REPRODUCE, erase his name, separate him from his people, and then centuries later ask why his bloodline is difficult to trace. Add to that the scattering of enslaved women through concubinage and domestic slavery, high mortality, forced assimilation, renaming and the breaking apart of families, and you begin to understand why so many AFRICAN LINEAGES disappeared into the societies that consumed them. No, this does not mean there are no African descendants in the Middle East. There absolutely are. The point is that the slave system itself helped prevent the formation of a massive, clearly visible African diaspora by MUTILATING SOME MEN, dispersing families and absorbing captives into other populations. That is what makes the history so chilling. They did not only steal Africans from the continent.
