A man empties supermarket shelves, maxing out three credit cards as heavy snow falls. Spotting a crashed car with a bizarrely coughing driver, he flees. Earlier, Jevon witnessed actor Arthur die of a heart attack onstage; afterward, he finds a little girl whose caretaker was taken by ambulance. Heading to the subway, his sister calls in panic—hospitals overflow with severe flu-like patients—and tells him to find their brother Frank. He returns the girl home, but no one answers, trapping him in a nightmare. At the hospital, patients grow delirious and medication fails. At Frank's apartment, Jevon warns "the end of the world is coming." As they argue, a plane crashes, its explosion lighting up the night sky.
