Matchbox AppleTV Movie Review

Matchbox: The Movie (2026) is now streaming on Apple TV, starring John Cena, Jessica Biel, and Sam Richardson.

And I’m giving it a 6/10!

This movie is packed with cheesy dialogue, outrageous car chases, explosions, and some surprisingly good fight choreography.

Directed by Sam Hargrave, who also directed the Extraction movies, Matchbox definitely delivers when it comes to the action.

But does it actually work as a movie based on the classic toy cars?

For me, this was a fun, ridiculous action movie that worked perfectly for a night at home with my wife.

Not every movie has to be a masterpiece to be worth watching.

This review is spoiler-free!

Have you seen Matchbox? Did you enjoy it or think it was a waste of time?

Go watch something awesome.
