A lot of units being consistently used
Was a big issue in WW2 and Vietnam
We kept sending in the same units
Time after time. I gotta look it up but If I remember correctly the 32nd and 3rd infantry both took so many casualties over their time without being rotated out
That they had almost no unit veterans in some platoons for a chunk of WW2.
When youre the best in the formation you get used the most. There is no popularity contest. Its a resukts driven process
Commanders end up overusing those units. It's incredibly common. Thos usually ends up being the case because as much as the commander knows hos guys need a breather he cant speak up, because when you do you will get relegated and someone will replace you. The top company gets the worst missions. Its textbook suffering from success
Infantry? Never. Like you said, used to attrition removed them from combat effectiveness.
