@joesmo9315He was a evil and cruel ruler. He even had a child choked to death and then sacrificed, while the child tried to fight back. He also killed a man he who refused to give him his land, and then said to feed his head to the pigs, and then he cursed him from ever going to Valhalla. He also allowed all of his raiders to only take one thing of treasure from when they raided England. And he kept the rest.

@theanondrifter In the series, it was mentioned that in his youth, he was, at one point, a great leader. I guess he just grew jaded over the years

@theanondrifter great doesnt always necessarily mean "Good". Ghenghis khan was Great. Subatai khan was Great. I'm sure all of their millions of enemies and victims would disagree and see them as savage pagan genociders, but nonetheless . Alexander the Great. Undoubtedly an incredible warrior, commander, king & conqueror, but probably not a Good man.. still, his deeds were great enough that we know him as such 1000s of years later.
