I agree with both. Endgame doesn’t beat a couple movies for me. Infinity war is my favorite. But “Cap can you hear me it’s Sam. On your left” will never ever be topped ever for the rest of cinematic existence.

I would like to love Endgame as most others do, but for me, thats my least favorite Avengers movie and its definitely not in my Top 10 MCU movies. I would love to say that this is my favorite movie of all time and nothing beats it, but sadly Endgame is not that movie for me. Endgame is a 7/10, the portal scene while being one of, if not the best scene in the MCU doesn't change that the movie in Act 1 and Act 2 does have problems and things I dislike, like what they did with Thor and Hulk and for me the death of Natasha is undeserved. Thats not a way I want an OG Avenger see dying. Infinity War was so amazing and I was disappointed after Endgame. Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I’m tired of people pretending that the first half of Endgame is bad. Yeah the ending half is better, but the first half is good it’s just paced slower and not focused on action. Yeah the Hulk stuff is pretty shit but I mean Hulk was even worse in Infinity War and people still glaze that movie. Not a fan of how they turned depressed Thor into comedic relief, but it doesn’t kill the movie for me.

You have to understand that Endgame isn’t trying to be those movies it’s an homage to the infinity saga as a whole and for me that makes it a masterpiece

Batman literally kills people. Every single scene with Batman I genuinely hate. Just because Batman kills people that automatically makes DCEU's Batman the worst adaptation of the character. There can be a universe where everyone Batman loves is dead and he still wouldn't kill someone, but in the DCEU the second Robin die's Batman blows people up, uses gun's, that just completely destroy's the character and what he stands for. I genuienly hate this take from hat guy more than any other take he has had. Batman does not kill, he didn't kill when Jason died, he didn't kill when Nightwing. He never has and never should kill. I like how Ben affleck LOOKS as Batman, but it genuinely baffles me that people like hat guy think that some of the best Batman scenes are from Batman v Superman. It genuienly drives me crazy that people want the snyder verse back with THAT Batman, that is not Batman, that character acts more like fucking Red hood than Batman. That character acta more like Deathstroke than Batman. That isn't Batman that character sucks his scenes suck end of discussion.

Well the portal scene is great but like Endgame is probably the most overrated movie ever made in my eyes. I’d go so far as to say that the writing is actively poor, and the character moments and payoffs are sabotaged by how little it makes sense to get there in this film

The thing is, Andrew is right. From a purely objective standpoint, the movie has lots of problems and I would barely have it top ten if we are talking movie quality. However, as an MCU fan it did everything I needed it to do and was an almost perfect payoff for the last 20 years of world building that the MCU did. It did its job and it did it well. Its job wasn't to be a movie masterpiece. Its job was to bring to a conclusion a saga that many of us grew up watching and enjoyed.

I feel like the time travel thing was a cop out and kinda rushed, however, I feel both narratively, and story wise it succeeded better than infinity war, where there was barely any development, they introduced the idea of gamora and nebula discussing the location of the soul stone and concluded it within an hour of that runtime.

Main difference is that endgame is still a good movie with an awesome ending that pays off all the movies before it. Batman v Superman is ass
