For people who do not know, this is a remake of an old movie by the name of Carrie. Her mom doesn't tell her what teenage girls go through because she believe periods are sin in the eyes of god (hence her freak out and talk with the principal). The girls in the bathroom do get their punishment, but if you want to watch the movie or show they are showing in this clip, go watch it or the other movies and show. So the princap is wrong and so is the mom ,the principal was wrong and he should’ve done something about the girls bullying her and the mom could’ve stopped it by telling her about it but she was right when she said “and you didn’t do anything about it?” So they are both in the wrong

I went thru something similar when I got my first period. I started at school one day when I was 10 years old in 5th grade. At first I thought I had just wet my pants by accident and asked to go to the bathroom, when I stood up there was blood on my pants and the chair and everyone in class laughed or asked in a concerned way if I was ok. The teacher came over and saw and she sent me to the nurse. I went to the nurse and told her what was happening and she gave a quick basic explanation and called my mom to pick me up. One I got home my mom just said "it's called a period, it's normal. When your bleeding wear a pad and change it thru out the day. If you have cramps or other body pains take OTC pain meds" and that was it. I didn't get a full explanation or the full "talk" until I was 15 cuz my mom didn't want me to be exposed to things that she thought I wasn't capable of understanding, and also she and the rest of the women in my family started their periods in their teens-early adulthood, so she never expected me to start at such a young age and wasn't ready to talk about stuff like that with me cuz she wasn't ready cuz she thought she would have more time until I started.

My mom also didn't tell me about periods and I was in school when I got it. I thought I was dying and came back home but I couldn't find her. Later I found her outside and told her, without explaining anything she just told me to go home and wait. Later she just gave me the pads and showed me what to do and told me it's bonrla and I had to go through with it. I'm glad I was mature enough to stay calm even if I was only 9 year old kid
